Tully Hill is accepting applications for an experienced individual to join our team as HIM / Medical Records Compliance Analyst. Will be responsible for executing health information requests to ensure compliance with current, applicable state and federal regulations. Job duties include assisting clinicians and other care providers with their health information needs in order to assist in the facilitation of quality patient care; completing FMLA and disability documentation; abstracting data for state reporting; auditing patient records for timeliness, completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of data to ensure compliance with NYS OASAS regulations and CARF standards; and identifying staff training and supervision needs. Full Time. Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Qualified candidates will have the ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrable knowledge of health information standards, regulations and policy and procedure to ensure facility compliance with current, applicable state and federal regulations. Associate’s Degree in health information management. 2+ years experience in a healthcare setting preferred. RHIT or RHIA certification preferred. Strong analytical skills required. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail required. Proactive/critical thinking a plus. Previous EMR experience required. Strong computer skills; intermediate skill and knowledge of Microsoft Office.
