Letter from Tully Hill Board of Directors

March 7, 2022

Dear Tully Hill Employees, Patients and Community Members,

As you know, Tully Hill Treatment & Recovery Center temporarily suspended its admissions to Inpatient detox and rehab levels of care recently due to a major shortage of nursing staff in February. This has been a difficult time for all of us.

We are writing today to affirm the Board of Directors’ commitment to Tully Hill and its mission, and our continued confidence in the organization’s leadership team, including Cathy Palm, our Executive Director. We have been in close contact with the NYS Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) to ensure the facility and its operations have been and are in full compliance with all regulations. We are actively seeking employment applications – especially for positions on our nursing staff. Please visit www.tullyhill.com/careers for more information and how to apply.

Tully Hill provides challenging and rewarding work for those with the skills and aptitude to work with individuals in their most vulnerable condition. Over the past several months, a combination of factors has contributed to the nursing shortage at all levels of healthcare throughout the United States, and Tully Hill is just one local example. Although the nature of our work is demanding under the best of circumstances, it also can be and is very rewarding. We are increasing our nursing staff so we can provide the highest quality services to our patients and continue to balance the workload of our caregivers.

For over 30 years Tully Hill has served this community and helped families during their most difficult times. Our existing staff are busy making enhancements to our facility, patient care delivery protocols, and their related functions. We will notify all stakeholders as soon as we resume Inpatient admissions.

We continue to provide Outpatient program services, including our ancillary withdrawal services available to those admitted to our Intensive Outpatient Program. Anyone seeking this level of care can call 315-696-6114, ext. 127. In addition, we are providing outreach to referral agencies, professionals and caregivers to ensure anyone seeking Inpatient detox and rehab levels of care can be referred to the providers that can help.

Tully Hill’s mission is to help those in need as they begin their miraculous journey of recovery. It is also an environment that requires strict confidentiality. We appreciate your patience and support as we work through this current challenge, and pledge to you our ongoing commitment to the Central New York and other communities we serve.

Sincerely,

Martin Lynn
