Meet the staff behind the curtain! Or in our case, the telephone.

When you call Tully Hill, you’re not talking to a machine, you’re talking to a real person. Two new people, actually: meet Jess, Admissions Supervisor and UR Specialist, and Intake staff Nicole two incredibly dedicated and understanding members of our team in our Admissions department.

They personally interview each and every patient who is referred to Tully Hill. Confidentiality is their and our number one priority. Anything that you tell our professional staff must be kept confidential and cannot be disclosed without a written release of information. As the first point of contact for many referrals and their families, Jess and Nicole work hard to create a safe space to speak openly and honestly about substance use. We’d like you to get to know them better and understand some of their reasons for choosing such a demanding career…

Jessica McAndrew | Admissions Supervisor

Why did you decide to work at Tully Hill?

Jessica: “I have always enjoyed being able to help people and see the amazing progressions people make in their lives. This job shows me that every day.”

What is your favorite part about your job?

Jessica: “A part of my job is working with insurance companies to obtain coverage for individuals throughout their treatment stay. I like being able to advocate for people who aren’t able to do so for themselves during some of the hardest moments in their life. I can help to be a voice for those who may have lost it due to their addiction.”

What is one thing you would like people considering submitting a referral or entering treatment to know?

Jessica: “I would want people to know that we understand how difficult it is to make the decision to come into treatment. We are one of the first voices you will hear on the other end of the phone, and we are here to help you navigate through the process so you do not have to do it alone. By reaching out for help, you are taking the first step to getting your life back. You are deserving!”

Nicole Wenham | Admissions Specialist

Why did you decide to work at Tully Hill?

Nicole: “I joined Tully Hill looking to be able to engage in a program that was more Person Centered and treated patients as the person that they want/hope to be once they are sober and not see them only for their addictions and addiction history.”

What is your favorite part about your job?

Nicole: “My favorite part of my job is being able to see the individuals come in for their evaluations and then seeing them change throughout their stay with us here at Tully Hill. I like being able to see how the person has adapted to the environment and start their journey towards their life long recovery. It is great to see how a person who comes in feeling as though they are in a losing battle to seeing them ready to take on the world once more and seeing their confidence on the day they return home.”

What is one thing you would like people considering submitting a referral or entering treatment to know?

Nicole: “One thing I would like individuals or referrals sources to be aware of is that we are a person centered program that takes into account their current struggles with absolutely no judgment, just a willingness to help from that very first phone call that continues all the way through treatment, as well as continued support for all Tully Hill Alumni.”
