Tully Hill is accepting applications for an experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Nursing. The Director of Nursing is responsible for the direction, provision and quality of nursing services provided to patients seeking inpatient treatment for substance use disorder.  Will lead, monitor and supervise nursing staff in providing quality nursing services in partnership with the multidisciplinary team provided non-medical therapeutic services. Will motivate and inspire the nursing team by creating an environment that promotes positive communication and encourages bonding of team members across departments Will work collaboratively will all departments to achieve the best outcomes for patients, families and projects.

 

Responsibilities include the 24-hour management of the Nursing Department to include directing patient nursing care; providing medical education for patients and their families; ensuring that nursing tasks are carried out in accordance with facility policy and in compliance with CARF standards, NYS OASAS regulations and other State and Federal regulations; monitoring nursing documentation to ensure compliance with policy, OASAS regulations, CARF standards, referral source and insurance contract requirements; supervision, training and scheduling of nursing staff; developing and implementing nursing policy and procedure; establishing and controlling departmental budget and providing 24/7 on call coverage.

Qualified individuals must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team. Excellent leadership skills for the Nursing Department and and as a member of the leadership team; strong written and verbal communication skills; competency in an electronic medical record and good computer skills required.  Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Master’s degree preferred. Valid NYS RN license and CPR certification required. CARN certification a plus. Solid medical skills required.    Demonstrable knowledge of substance use disorder, the detoxification process, co-occurring disorders, DSM criteria and terminology, OASAS regulations and 12-Step philosophy preferred. 5+ years supervisory experience preferred

Salary Range – $115,000 – $125,000
The salary range is provided in accordance with NYS law and is based on Tully Hill’s good faith belief of what is accurate at the time of posting. Tully Hill considers factors including, but not limited to, the position and associated responsibilities, market and business considerations, as well as the candidate’s education/training, credentials, and work experience.
